-
Do we admit provisionally if some of the listed courses haven't been completed?
Answer:
Yes, we might admit even though there are some course deficiencies.
-
What are the cutoff scores on the GRE?
Answer:
We consider the complete undergraduate record and the GRE scores. Very high scores (90th percentile or higher) on the Verbal, Quantitative and Analytical tests might result in admission although the applicant might have undergraduate course deficiencies. We usually do not admit directly into our graduate studies program if one has more than five course deficiencies, regardless of the GRE scores. On the other hand, we usually don't admit into our graduate studies program if any of the scores are below the 60th percentile. If the Verbal test score is below the 60th percentile, but the other test scores are above that mark, then we might admit with the provision that the student complete English Composition I and II if other qualifications are very good.
-
Do we admit provisionally if the GRE test has not been taken?
Answer:
No, you must submit GRE scores before you will be considered for admission.
-
If I am admitted to the Graduate School, but I am not admitted to the computer science or computer engineering graduate studies program, may I enroll for graduate courses?
Answer:
Yes, but there is no guarantee that such courses will later be counted toward a degree. The Graduate School prohibits more than 12 hours of such course work to count toward a graduate degree.
-
Do you accept industrial or commercial certificates or diplomas or experience instead of the listed academic course work required for admission?
Answer:
Most such experiences are beneficial to the candidate, but they aren't accepted in lieu of academic preparation for graduate study.
